During the week of August 27, 2018; the Environmental Science Class of Central Columbia High School will be learning and practicing their tree identification skills during the Forestry Section of the course.  Instructors Mr. Doug Brown and Mr. Kirk Seesholtz assist students in properly identifying both hardwood and softwood trees relating to leaf margin, leaf shape, leaf configuration and bark appearance.  These skills will be utilized during the FFA Forestry Career Development Event and the Envirothon both later in the school year.

Here Environmental Science Instructor, Mr. Seesholtz points our certain features that assist students in identifying trees.

In this photo, Mr. Seesholtz is pointing our potential disease that may be affecting the growth of this particular tree species.
