The Central Columbia FFA Chapter was well represented by its former Chapter President and current Pennsylvania State FFA Treasurer, Abigail Yoder. On Friday, September 14, 2018, Abby competed in the Extemporaneous Public Speaking Leadership Development Event at The Big E (Eastern States Exposition) located in West Springfield, MA. Abby placed second in this event while representing Central Columbia and Pennsylvania-Congratulations to her on an outstanding performance.
Abigail also competed in the Eastern States Star in Agricultural Placement Interview Event. Abby interviewed with three judges (Mr. Mike Brammer, PA FFA Executive Director, Mr, Roger Murray, Farm Credit East Vice-President and Dr. Steve Brown, National FFA Advisor) about her agricultural placement in her Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Program. Though the interview process Abby educated the judges about her involvement in her SAE as well as the FFA. Congratulations to Abigail Yoder who captured the 2018 Eastern State Star in Agricultural Placement at the Eastern States Exposition on Saturday.
