The CCES PTO Recycling & Conservation Committee donated $1,000 to the elementary school and Principal Tom Sharrow. The funds were a result of various recycling programs implemented at the school over the past two years and required assistance from parent volunteers. A portion of the funds will be used to donate Earth Day and recycling books to the library. Mrs. Sonya Smith, school librarian, will setup a special display for the children to increase education on these subjects. Additionally, Miss Kelsey Diltz and her Life Skills class have been actively involved in school recycling collection as a practical class effort. The committee chair Erik Valentino and co-chair Shana Warenda wish to thank the volunteers, the PTO, and school liaisons that make the work of the Committee possible. The mission of the committee is to promote awareness and knowledge, and partner with and support the school in implementation of recycling and conservation practices.
