Central Columbia School District Ranked #1 Rural School in PA

The statewide testing data for the 2017-18 school year was recently released by the PA Department of Education.  The website Schooldigger.com takes this data and ranks elementary, middle and high schools across the state based solely on this academic achievement data.  Schooldigger also ranks overall school district performance.

Central Columbia is pleased to announce that our school district ranked 39th out of 609 districts statewide and in the top 6.5% of all districts.  Since all the school districts ranked higher than CCSD are classified either urban or suburban, this makes Central Columbia the #1 ranked rural school district in PA out of the 246 rural districts.  CCSD was also the #1 rated school district in the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit and, in fact, the #1 ranked district in all of central and northeastern Pennsylvania.

Central Columbia High School ranked 37th out of 673 high schools and in the top 5.5%.  CCHS is the #2 ranked high school in the CSIU region.

Central Columbia Middle School ranked 63rd out of 861 middle schools in PA and in the top 7.3%.  CCMS is the #2 ranked middle school in the CSIU region.

Central Columbia Elementary School ranked 279th out of 1,530 elementary schools in PA and in the top 18.2%.

We wish to congratulate our students on their outstanding performance.  Additionally, we want to thank the teachers, staff, administrators, parents and School Board members for their continued pursuit of excellence in education.  Central Columbia has set a high standard and high expectations that our students and staff consistently meet.  Congratulations to all!
